The “Campaign”

Jim’s career in advertising resulted in a deep appreciation for the way we choose to communicate through media in life. Here’s a little “memory lane”, for those of you who worked with him, and a look at some of the work he contributed to, for those of you who didn’t have the opportunity.

Advertising,…30 years at McCann-Erickson

Key frames from the award-winning TV commercial series for Exxon, which highlighted the success a number famous had in overcoming hardships and limitations. Created to mark the U.S. Bicentennial in 1975, they were built on the theme "Spirit of Achievement is the Spirit of America." Personalities included Mark Twain (Left), Dizzy Dean, the famous baseball pitcher (Middle), and the gifted Anne Sullivan, (Right), who taught the blind how to communicate, and whose most famous pupil, Hellen Keller, carried on Anne's work with the blind and the deaf.
